We would like to personally thank you for your interest in our studio! We are dedicated to making each and every child and parent's experience here at CDC an enjoyable one! We realize that aside from teaching dance, we are responsible for being positive role models to our students! We understand that dance class should be more than just steps; it should be an environment that creates a positive learning experience, while encouraging social skills, poise, coordination and self-esteem. We take pride in being a family-friendly, personable studio and our goal is to instill self confidence, self discipline and an appreciation for the art of dance into each and every child who walks through our door. The fact that we have been able to pass on our passion for dance to thousands of students over the past forty plus years brings us great joy!
Meet the Director
Chris Grau
Owner/Director
Miss Chris started dancing at the age of 4. She trained at numerous studios in the area including Pennsylvania Ballet and The Jazz Dance Center. She opened the studio 50 years ago in the basement of her parent's house. Her true passion for dance and teaching children has helped her grow through the years and has enabled her to touch the lives of thousands of children. Her students' achievements have included television commercials, Broadway, cruise ships, tours with Selena Gomez and more! Miss Chris still attends conventions regularly and has studied with many top notch dancers including; Joe Tremaine, Twitch, Wade Robson, the late Doug Caldwell, Mandy Moore, Mia Michaels and more!
Meet our Faculty
Miss Jamie
Assistant Director
Miss Jamie has been teaching for over 20 years. She was the recipient of the Success America Scholarship at the age of 17 to attend classes in NYC at the Broadway Dance Center. Her students have been in commercials, toured on Broadway, performed on cruise ships & more! Jamie loves watching her students grow and learn throughout the years. She also loves spending time with her family and traveling.
Miss Natalie
Children's Classes
Miss Natalie grew up dancing at CDC! She was a member of our competition team and received numerous awards. Miss Natalie has been teaching dance at CDC for numerous years and her students adore her! She is also a teacher in the Springfield School District.
Miss Danielle
Cheerdance/Cheer & Tumble
Miss Danielle has been a cheerleading coach for many teams in the community! Her 2 daughters grew up at our studio and were members of our competition team. Miss Danielle brings energy and fun to her classes!
Miss Abby
Children's Classes
Miss Abby has taught at CDC for years! She grew up here and was a member of our award winning competition team! Abby is currently a teacher in the Penn Delco School District!
Miss Bailey
Competition
Miss Bailey will be joining our staff this year and we are so excited! Miss Bailey graduated from the University of the Arts as a dance major. She was a competitive dancer and won many title awards and scholarships to JUMP, 24 Seven, Nuvo and The Dance Awards. She has performed with All Around Entertainment, numerous productions of The Nutcracker, Tilly's Fashion, RAW Artists OC, Loose Cannons Choreography Show and several performances with U of Arts. She is also on faculty at a prestigious studio in Los Angeles.
Mr. Seven
New to our faculty Mr. Seven will be teaching Hip Hop
Miss Katie
Dance Instructor
Katie started dancing at the age of 3 at CDC. She was a member of our award winning competition teams, receiving numerous overall high score awards and more! Katie trained in all genres of dance and started teaching for us several years ago. Miss Katie is also an elementary school teacher in the community and her students absolutely adore her! In her spare time, she volunteers at Providence Animal Center.
Miss Imani
Hip Hop
We are so excited to have Imani join our staff this year! Imani is currently a member of the Just Sole Hip Hop Dance Company! She received her Master's Degree in Dance from Temple University!
Miss Mary
Acro
Miss Mary has been studying the art of dance since she was 3 years old. She has over 25 years experience in teaching acrobatics. She enjoys nothing more than watching her students master a new acrobatic trick and the excitement that it brings to them. Miss Mary has had a love for dance for all of her life and has found a passion in teaching students of all ages and levels. She is looking forward to becoming a new member of the CDC family and we are excited to have her!
