Summer Session
Enclosed is Concord Dance Center’s 2012 Summer Session Schedule.
Concord Dance Center is a family owned and operated business and has been providing quality dance education to thousands of children in Delaware County for the past 40 years. We offer 2 fun-filled sessions during the summer in both June and August. We also offer a referral special if you refer a friend to our studio and they register for one of our summer session, you get $10.00 off your summer tuition!! This applies to new students only. Cost for the summer session is $55.00.
Class Descriptions:
Pre-School Princess: Our most popular class!!! Designed for 3-4 year olds, this class consists of creative movement, pre-ballet, song & dance, tap & gymnastics. Students learn the beginning techniques of dance using scarves, rhythm sticks, princess wands, etc. Arts & crafts and refreshments are also a part of this fun-filled one hour class. Students need pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes. Studio A 5:45-6:45pm
Broadway Babes: NEW!!! This class is designed for 5-7 year olds and will focus on musical theater. Students will learn routines to music from popular Broadway shows in both jazz and tap, learn the lyrics and perform a show for parents at the end of the session. We are excited to add this unique class to our summer session! Students will need pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes. Studio B 5:45-6:45pm
CheerFunk & Tap: NEW!!!! This class is designed for 8-11 year olds and will consist of cheerleading and hip hop. Students will learn cheers and cheerleading routines from an experienced cheerleading coach along with learning energetic hip hop routines. This is a high energy class! Students need sneakers and any color tap shoes. Studio A 7:45-8:45pm
Combo: This class is designed for 6-8 year olds and will consist of jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop and gymnastics. Students will learn the basic technique of all varieties of dance as well as fun, energetic routines. Students need ballet and tap shoes. Studio A 6:45-7:45pm
Lyrical: This class is for 8-11 year olds and it is a mixture of ballet and jazz technique. Lyrical focuses on expressing the lyrics of music through the student’s movement. It’s designed to tell the story of the music through dance moves. Students will need pink ballet shoes. Studio B 6:45-7:45pm.
Summer Session Schedule:
Session # 1 4 week session June 13th, 20th, 27th and July 11th (one day a week)
Session # 2 2 week session Aug. 6th, 8th, 13th, 15th (2 days a week)
