Concord Dance Center Teachers took part in the 2011 Dance Summit Teachers Conference in New York City. They had the pleasure of taking class from some of the best choreographers in the business today, including Mandy Moore, Sheila Barker, Gregg Russell, Doug Caldwell and many more
Chris Grau - Miss Chris has owned and operated Concord Dance Center for the past 41 years and will be entering into her FORTY SIXTH YEAR OF TEACHING DANCE .She was a member of a prominent ballet company in Philadelphia for numerous years, and has studied all forms of dance in Philly and NYC. She spends her free time judging talent competitions in the U.S. and Canada. Miss. Chris has been teaching Pre-school dance, jazz, tap, and ballet classes for over 46 years. She has taught classes from beginner to advanced. Many of the students that have grown up in her studio have gone on to open up their own studios or to dance on a professional level. |
Jamie Grau-Carr - She is currently the co-director of The Concord Dance Center. At the age of 17, Jamie was one of only 20 dancers chosen nationwide for the Success America Scholarship to NYC. She performed professionally in Atlantic City on New Years Eve for numerous years. She has trained throughout the U.S. in all forms of dance. She has taught jazz, ballet, lyrical, tap, pre-school dance, and hip hop for the past 15 years from the beginner to advanced level. She attends yearly conventions to keep up on the latest trends of dance. |
Michelle Grau-Trasatti - Michelle's choreography has won her numerous overall awards at competitions. She graduated with a BS from Widener University in 1997. She was also an assistant choreographer for a GAP commercial. Michelle has choreographed both the opening and closing numbers for Channel 6 Boscovs Thanksgiving Day Parade and Sunoco's 4th of July Parade in Phila. She also choreographed the opening number for Channel 6 Cherry Blossom Parade held in Washington, DC. She is currently still judging regional and national competitions throughout the US and Canada. |
Kyle Clark: A native of Baltimore, Maryland. His travels include dancing at the Euro Disney in Paris. In the fall of his Junior year he was accepted into the first company of Eleone Dance Theater, a modern company where he has been a principal member for 5 years. In May 2006, Kyle graduated from the University of the Arts . Following graduation, Kyle was brought into Rennie Harris PureMovement (RHPM). Kyle has been a principal dancer as well as the Rehearsal Director for Rennie Harris's world renown hip hop company for the past 3 years. Come check out a FREE class with Kyle!!!!! |
Danielle Farnan - Danielle has been instructing cheerdance for the past 5 years and has built this program up to be one of the most popular programs at the school this year. Danielle was a cheerleader for Cardinal O'Hara High School for 4 years. She has been coaching competition cheerleading teams for the past 5 years for the Chichester Crusaders and has been judging cheerleading competitions throughout the U.S. for numerous years. She will be starting up our first Pom Pom Competing Squad, along with Michelle Bostwick-Barlow as the gymnastic instructor. Good Luck to the new Pom Pom Competition Team!!!! |

ERIN DONNELLY - Erin comes to us from Kansas City, and will be instructing our Ballet this season. She was a member of the Somerset Ballet Co. in Kansas City, and trained with the Joffrey Ballet, Boston Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, Alvin Ailey, and the American Ballet Theater. She was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs' NFL Cheerleading Squad for several years. She is currently working on her Masters Degree at Widener University.

ALANA MELENE -- We are proud to be adding Alana to our Faculty this year. She will be instructing Jazz classes. She graduated from Kutztown University with a B.S.B.A in Dance. She was awarded the Deane Lenhart Scholarship for Excellence in Dance. From 2007-2010 she was a Scholarship student at Steps On Broadway in New York, and was also an Assistant Choreographer at the 80th annual Academy Awards. Most recently she will be presenting her work for Fashion Week in September at Lincoln Center. We are very excited to have her with us this year.

Michael Susten: We would like to welcome Michael to our studio this year. Michael graduated from The University of The Arts with a BFA in Jazz Performance. He will be teaching our Modern classes this year. He brings a fresh new take on modern that stems from the company he directs and produces called "XHALE." He was a choreographer for The Koresh Artist Showcase and presently is a choreographer for The University of The Arts where he is an assistant teacher.
